I'm not exactly sure what our illustrious Admin had in mind when creating this forum, but with the hint of staying away from the animals I decided to start a thread on something near and dear to my heart. Our national parks can be dangerous places especially if you leave your common sense at the entrance and don't follow the guidelines put out by the NPS (National Park Service). Consider that your first tip. NPS Rangers are federal law enforcement officers, kind of a step above local police. Any crime committed in a National Park is by definition a Federal Offense. That being said please be kind and courteous to the NPS Rangers, these folks do a lot of different jobs and their main focus is to keep everyone who visits, works, or lives in a national safe. So if you are ever asked by a ranger to do something, like stay on a boardwalk, or back away from an animal please do so. You may not see the danger in what you're doing but the Ranger does.
